Spend the first 14 days of December with me right here!

I have so so so much to share with all of you!!
I have some very exciting news...
I'll be blogging everyday right here with a contest or giveaway everyday! AND... on December 14th I'll pick one winner to win an $100.00 "Santa Bag" of Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker products! To win the "Santa Bag" of goodies all you need to do is sign up for my FREE newsletter! The sign up for the newsletter is on the left side column right here on my blog!  I'll pick one of the email address to win the Santa Bag of products! (Please only one entry per person.)
Everyday there will be a giveaway or contest of some sort, also I'm going to share other companies products along with my products and a few of my "favorite things"! You'll get to see how my friends, design team girls and I spend the holidays along with some of our Christmas traditions!  This is going to be so fun!!

Within the next 14 days I'll be showing my first CHA Sneak Peek and you might be one of the lucky ladies that will win a new Spring 2011 paper line before it even hits the stores or is shown at CHA!! How fun will that be!!

Don't forget to also check my company Facebook page for more chances to win some Christmas presents from me!  If you see this logo on Facebook then you are in the right place!

So I'm sure most of you saw my Dear Hubby's blog post about me being sick and sending me to bed... okay so wow... I was really sick! More than I even knew... but thankfully I'm feeling so much better! I have asthma so I always end up with a bad cough that lingers for weeks after my cold or flu, and it always sounds so much worse than I feel. When I start coughing I can clear a room pretty quickly and yet feel fine! Thanks for all your "get well soon" wishes to me and I guess I should thank my hubby too (even though I fought him every single step of the way to our bedroom)!

I just have to share with you these sweet pictures of Bella-Blue at her pet therapy visit at our local cancer center, she was an Indian for her Thanksgiving visit! My sister Emily made this adorable Indian outfit for her...

Bella and I together getting ready to start our visit!

Bella-Blue was a bit upset with the beads and straps that hung off her outfit as you can see below...

I can't leave here without sharing a few of my favorite Christmas 2 page layouts using my Happy Holly-Day's paper line! I've never been a 2 page layout scrapbooker but since I started using Allison Davis's Sketch Books I can knock out a 2 pager like no ones business!
Here are a few that my Design Team girls created using Allison's Sketches:
                                          DT Diva:  Katrina Hunt

DT Diva: Ria Mojica
                                           DT Diva: Christine Ousley
DT Diva: Jennifer Yates
I just had to share a couple of these close ups of Jennifer's layout, love how she popped up the Nutcracker in my Happy Holly-Day's paper line!

One last thing, today is my dad's birthday! We've had a strained relationship in the past (just the stuff that goes along with having divorced parents) but we've totally reconnected and have a beautiful relationship now! So I want to say a big Happy Birthday Day to my daddy, Ron!
This is my dad with his grandson, Max...  (love Max in this picture)

Tomorrow's December 1st so don't forget to stop by to enter the "Santa Bag" of Nikki Sivils products and maybe another little something special too!  Have a great Tuesday! -Nikki

Our November Challenge....Why Show Us What You Are Thankful For Of Course!!

Hey Susan Dupre here and this month's challenge for the design divas was to making something "thankful" - whether it is a card, layout or a project - we want to see what for, who for or why you are "thankful".

However, let's thank the players of our October Challenge "Mix It Up" first.  It is always such a difficult choice when choosing a winner.  I wish I could pick more than one winner because you all rock!!  I did pick a winner though, and the winner is Melissa "isay" .  I loved her layout titled "My Handsome Prince".  I think I see FIVE different paper lines on her layout:  Willow Bee, Dan the Record Man, U R My Favorite , Will He B the 1 and Flaming Butterfly.  Wow, that takes creativity to make those work together, and Melissa did an amazing job!!

Ok, now lets see what our girls are "thankful" about!  We will start off with some very thankful layouts.

How about some "thankful" cards?

by Lea Albers

by Rae Barthel

And, here are some really cool "thankful" projects!

by Jennifer Yates

If you would like to play along for your chance to win some fabulous "Nikki Sivils" papers, then do a layout, card or project using Nikki's products showing something you are "thankful" for and post it in the comment thread for this post.   We will pick a winner from all who play along and announce it next month!

Good luck and happy crafting,
Susan Dupre

A Little More Inspiration...

He,heee I was just reading the last post that Dan wrote about Nikki.  I have to laugh because really that is "so Nikki".  :)  She's adorable to the core, and of course that is why we all love her.

Here is some inspiration for you from one of our design team diva's Liz Qualman:

I love the simplicity of Liz's layout above.  She used "Something for Everyone" and Nikki's cute little "burlap buttons".

Isn't this layout great?  How cute is that tree that Liz made.  She used Nikki's "Happy Holly-Days" and those cute "burlap buttons" for this layout.

Now I have these two amazing projects by Jennifer Yates.  All I can say is Wow!  Some of these girls just blow me away with their talent.

Jennifer used "Tree Love" to make this brilliant own card.  How awesome is this!!??!

Look how beautiful the above "thankful" canvas is that Jennifer made with "Tree Love"?  Jennifer also used Nikki's "burlap buttons" on both of her projects.

Lastly, I have a really cute card by Deana Boston.  Since tomorrow is Thanksgiving here is the states this little card is an appropriate little send off.  I have to say I got a good little giggle when Deana sent this to me for the blog.  I "love love love" her little beaver with the pilgrim attire!  I still get a smile on my face looking at it!

See?? How stinking cute is this card?

Well, that's it!  May I wish a Happy Thankgiving to those of you that celebrate it!

"Mr. Nikki Sivils" has taken control

Hello, it's me (Dan, aka husband of Nikki). Some of you may recall that I once had to take over this blog when I found Nikki on the floor making paper cupcakes for her first CHA. She was very pale, barely awake and sweating with a fever! I sent her to bed and told everyone to send her back to bed if they caught her online. Together, we saved her. But alas, here I am again because my pretty wife is not feeling well. She always refuses to accept illness and keeps going non-stop until she drops, literally, or I step in and take control. This evening she was sent to bed and, for lack of a better word, she is "grounded" for at least 24 hours. I really had no choice after her behavior in the grocery store. Here's what happened:

While in the check out line a friendly woman asked Nikki, "What kind of thearpy do you do?"

Nikki replied, "I'm sorry, what?"

Friendly lady repeated, "What kind of therapy do you do?"

Nikki: "What?"

Friendly (and patient) lady, "I said therapy. Do you do therapy?"

Nikki: "I am sorry, you must have me confused with someone else. I don't do    therapy."

Friendly (and confused) lady: "Oh. But you are wearing a name tag ...and shirt... that says Pet Therapy of the Ozarks"

Nikki: "Oh my gosh, that...my name tag, yes it is my name tag! Oh and I am wearing my shirt! I volunteer with Pet Therapy of the Ozarks!"

Friendly lady: "So then, do you train the pet thearpy dogs?"

Wait for it..........

Nikki: "No, I do therapy"

Then nice lady looks at me with a look that implies I better take my wife home. I look at the nice lady with a look indicating that I have been down this road many times before and I have it handled. We both look at Nikki, who is obviously pale and looking very sick. I smile and give her a big hug and say, "We are going home. And you are definitely grounded."

Now, Nikki is asleep and grounded. If you catch her online tell her to go back to bed! I do not have a layout or card to show you, but I do have a wonderful niece, Ellie, who painted me a special picture. I think it's beautiful, I bet you will too. Goodnight, Dan

More amazing DT work!

I have so many beautiful work to show you, I don't know where to start! With these amazing new collections our team will blow you away!!

Jill created these 2 amazing layouts using Happy Holly-days and Something for Everyone

Monika created this amazing projects!

“You”
This is a layout made from the Sugar Cookie line. I used the inner circle of the scalloped edge paper to cut out the heart that surrounds my daughters photo and I made the big flower from the purple papers,  I used plenty of fluid chalk to give it a slightly darker tone. I found the big flower in the background on the internet, printed it and cut it out.

“Tomten”
Tomten means Santa in Swedish, and of cause it´s a layout about  last Christmas when we had two Christmas eves.
I used the “Happy Holly-days” line, and tried to keep the layout clean and simple in order to  focus on the photos even though they are so small.

Mette has also created a wonderful layout.
She used Something for Everyone.

and Mette created this layout using Happy Holly-days.

And the final layout I will show you today is created by Michele Beck.
supplie list:
Ellie's day out papers
Cool Cord brads
Burlap buttons blue

Be sure to come back later this week. I will post more work on friday!

Have a great day!
love
Hilde
